We welcome back the Nordic Investment Conference, held every fourth year in Copenhagen.

In 2019, during the inaugural Nordic Investment Conference in Copenhagen, the act of investing within a low-interest-rate environment was producing potentially dangerous side effects, and posing a challenge to pension funds, endowments, and portfolio managers. In just a matter of years, this focal point has completely shifted towards growing concerns about inflation, coupled with the emergence of rising interest rates.
Today, as the Nordic Investments Conference returns to Copenhagen, investors and managers are confronted with an entirely new range of challenges – challenges that were deemed impossible during the era of persistently low rates. The new interest rate landscape has disrupted asset classes that were traditionally viewed as “safe havens,” prompting a reevaluation of overall asset allocation strategies and exposure, not to mention start- and scaleups!
The convergence of big data and the evolution of data science, alongside innovations such as quantum computing, are collectively challenging the conventional norms of Finance and Investment management and could even lead to new economic theory! Additionally, the dawn of AI and the creation of chatbots further contribute to this transformative shift.
Adding to the complexity of the investments landscape, the ongoing war in Ukraine and unstable geopolitical dynamics, imposes continued pressure on national security, as well as leave the macroeconomic environment uncertain.
Investors and managers find themselves not only coping with these significant key issues, but they are also occupied with the continuing importance and presence of ESG investing on the agenda. Green infrastructure and energy transformation might shine differently in the wake of rising interest rates but is still needed.
So, how are investors and market participants navigating this complicated landscape? What are the strategies being employed? What are the answers, and measures taken?
At this year’s Nordic Investment Conference, distinguished industry, and society leaders from across the Nordic region will share their insights, perspectives, and innovative solutions to address these pressing challenges. As a conference delegate, you will be granted the unique opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions with these experts, as well as fellow delegates, during the many networking breaks.
