What does PR have to do with IR? Why should IROs worry about the reputation of their business and work with the PR team to build and protect it? This half-day course focuses on the interaction between PR and IR – explaining the 5 Ws of PR: Who your PR colleagues are What their function is Where PR and IR need to coordinate, When you may need to interact with them and Why working with the PR department will bolster Investor Relations.

You will learn how to identify different types of PR stories and assess their implications on investor relations – and on a company’s valuation.

You will discover how to work with the PR team day-to-day – and during crisis situations, when the future of the company is under threat.

The course will also look at the regulations around announcements, analyst and investor engagement with the media and other practical aspects from an IR perspective.

This course is aimed at new and experienced IR professionals who would like to expand their knowledge of, and engagement with, the broader communications environment.
